Feel the eyes are staring from above And solitude the grieving memory of, The time is nigh and slipping through my hands And fall it does the fine temporal sands Leave us all for the dawn Beseech the rise of the morn Leave us all for the dawn Beseech the rise of the morn

~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ LYRICS ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ Perched atop a lowly outcrop Gazing ahead at the endless grey Dreaming of what could be Horizon moves forwards to greet me Heart heavy with bountiful sorrow Awaiting the end to greet me tomorrow The failures and lies of this life Strangles, and ties me down The endless grey Purging our thoughts We purvey An existence of no meaning And grey we see in our eyes For our souls are cracked and broken Then the end of our life And the words we left unspoken Crestfallen and meek in the light A grain of bleakness upon my life Feel the gentle touch of the end Soothing and his arms open Oh! And the grey we see Casts his bleak shade And we stare forth At the formless being Hold your gaze And witness the tears As the world weeps As do we And grey we see in our eyes For our souls are cracked and broken Then the end of our lives And the words we left unspoken

~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ LYRICS ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ Faces of death the horizon And paling the walls of the end Jaded and into the garden Greeting the sky with our breath Falling and grim the facade The ego mystic and grey Charred are fabrics of nature And shades of our life Cracks appear on the inside Those emeralds back they stare A soul of harrow and sombre Screams of many are gone Gone! Lament for the silence And the dreams that do not fade Grave the black defiance Breathe and dreams do fade The envy lies in the shadow of our lust For we are the purveyance of death And the bleak falls short to the silent Furrowed only by the fallen These are but dreaming men Breathe and they fade

~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ LYRICS ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ The snow, the white, it surrounds Far, covered in a shroud Bitter, the air and the taste The land and ice have embraced Frosts as far as the eye can see A cold that I always seek Laying still are the leaves And casting shadows on the trees Snow hearts Sings the lark to me Snow hearts Sings the lark to me Soar Droplets of breath in the air Fitting cold for my despair Dreaming of world beyond ice Wallow my thoughts do entice Shadows surrounding they steep The lies, and forth it doth creep For eternal the echoes of pain And eternal it echoes again Shadows around they creep Soaking my mind and I weep For eternally echoes my pain And eternal it echoes again Sorrows ageing beyond The will of the ancients abscond For the bringer of light calls on me And I am in awe of the wreak Blizzard of havok ensue Counting your time and your dues Finding the way to locate Finality will not be late Shadows surrounding they steep The lies, and forth it doth creep For eternal the echoes of pain And eternal it echoes again Shadows around they creep Soaking my mind and I weep For eternally echoes my pain And eternal it echoes again

~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ LYRICS ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ - - ~ Where do I go now I've exhausted all options? Guilt follows in every step I make, Crushed down by the weight of a thousand lifetimes, My lungs burn with every breath I take In my foolishness I went too far, I open my eyes and realise.. That my time was just ticking Like waves that crash on the shore; Once again revealing yellow sands, There is a meaning within simplicity... Although I am now all alone; As I wander o'er barren trails Can't help but feel at home, But I must wander on! I wish I could give an answer, But I am so full of questions How I wish I could spend a thousand lives A thousand roaming the tracts of the Earth A thousand admiring the old Gods creation A thousand amongst the peace of nature The light begins to turn dark, As the sun finally sets on my heart.. And I at last finally feel the decay, Oh, that dark decay... And I at last finally feel the decay Oh, and I at last, that sweet eternal decay

about

An oft-maligned facet of introspection is the familiar comfort of grief reminiscence. The guilty pleasure of reveling in world-weariness. The unfathomable nostalgia of reliving the violent and extreme gamut of emotion associated with a time of seemingly interminable anguish. The need to feel such convulsing emotion in order to feel alive...

Ofnus wasn’t imagined as a solution for the lack of soundtrack for these feelings, however from the first scrapings of pick against wound string, our direction became apparent. To fuse the dynamic, often bleak and sometimes saw-toothed harshness of black-metal, with the broad and sweeping melodies of modern-classic film score, whilst harnessing any and all other pertinent influences, unabated by genre tropes and with a vision to simply take you on a journey. These vast and evocative soundscapes that veer between sullen and monumental quickly depicted the travel to and the point of nadir. Ofnus and its identity was born.

"Time Held Me Grey And Dying" is an opus to the loss of innocence, a sonic narrative of the uncomfortable realisation of the passage of time and life's most certain inevitability through death. The 50+ minute full length debut by the Welsh five-piece contains 8 vast and evocative soundscapes that veer between sullen and monumental.

Ofnus have a singular goal in mind: to reunite you with your misery.

I would like to thank my best friend Tereza for dragging me across the country. Without her none of this would have happened and I would still be rotting away in my hometown. I’d also like to thank my brother Travis for gifting me my first guitar at age 13 and starting a lifelong obsession with music. I’d also thank Alyn for showing me the early material and accepting my offer to join, and the rest of the guys in the band. Working with you has been a pleasure and I can’t wait to see the reactions to this album. Finally, I’d like to thank everyone reading this.
